Procrastination At Its Finest

If there's one thing i'm exceedingly good at, it's starting projects and then almost immediately getting bored with them. I love painting and drawing so you would think that finishing a project would be no problem... NOPE! I always get super excited about some new idea i've come up with but after a couple of layers i find myself setting the project aside and neglecting to pick it back up. However, thankfully i think i'm finally starting to figure out why i'm such a procrastinator when it comes to my art.

Reason 1) I'm one of those people who likes having instant gratification (but then again who isn't). So when i start off a little too ambitious and pick a huge canvas to start my project i rarely finish it.

2) The Inevitable ugly stages that happen while you're painting or drawing really seem to discourage me! I know that they have to happen but that somehow doesn't stop me from labeling a piece as terrible and giving up.

Solution!!!!!: For the rest of this year i am not working on any project with a larger surface area than a 16x20 so I ACTUALLY finish something!!!
